About Helen D’Silva

Helen D’Silva is the founder and director of HDPPG.

With more than 12 years’ experience working in the human resources and performance psychology domain in corporate and sport arenas, she can empathise with the challenges, stress and obstacles that business owners, directors and senior managers can experience on a regular basis.

Having worked with individuals and businesses in corporate settings Helen has acquired more than 10 years experience in sales (retail and professional consultation), and can therefore empathise with those experiencing stress that comes with needing to consistently perform at high levels, lead a successful team and be able to manage what feels like a ‘balanced’ and healthy lifestyle.

Exercising a warm, empathetic approach (with at least a little bit of humour), Helen will support, guide and empower you to develop strategies that suit and work for you.

Because Helen takes an educational approach, you will benefit in learning how to become the master of firstly understanding your obstacles to then be able to apply the strategies and technique for overcoming them.

She works with individuals who require support in facing the following:

  • Adjustment challenges

  • Stress, anxiety and depression

  • Grief, loss and trauma resulting from significant events and life transitions

  • Relationship challenges

  • Workplace and business related stress

  • Communication strategies and development of assertiveness skills

  • Confidence building and repairing self-esteem

  • Confusion and loss of purpose and focus relating to employment, career and business

Over her years of experience, Helen has found that helping individuals to gain an objective, in-depth understanding of their challenges and blockages using evidence-based therapeutic frameworks including Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Positive Psychology, equips them to develop strategies that foster long-term, positive change in the forms of:

  • Increased energy levels, feeling of general health and well-being

  • Learning how to set individual, achievable steps that motivate the individual to move further toward his/her own goals

  • Improved quality of sleep and restfulness

  • Reduced anxiety and stress

  • Increased concentration and ability to sustain focus

  • Becoming a much more effective and influential communicator

  • Reducing symptoms of depression

  • Higher levels of productivity with reduced effort

  • Better work-lifestyle balance

  • Clearer direction or purpose, and greater satisfaction in employment, career or business
